On May 2, 1910, the members of the Elms House (on Elm Street near campus) formally organized Theta Sigma Tau at Ripon College in Ripon, WI.
Over the next 111 years the House would grow and change often. In 1954 it join with Sigma Nu (a national fraternal organization) as their Zeta Tau chapter, and would later part ways with Sigma Nu (1976), reforming as Theta Sigma Tau again. In 1980 it went co-ed and became a place where all were welcome for the next forty-plus years. Regrettably, for a variety of reasons, the House came to an end in the spring of 2021.
Today is May 2, 2023: we remember our House on its 113th birthday and drink fondly to its memory, the family it gave us, and the place it will always have in our hearts.
